Have you noticed lately when you hand your business card to someone that most times they turn them over to see if there is more information on the back? Watch people at the next business gathering or chamber mixer. I can almost guarantee that most of the people receiving a business card will flip it over to check out the back of the card. The back of your card is prime real estate, you need to use it.

Here are a few examples of what you can use the prime real estate on the back of your card for:

Use your business card to list services that you provide, brands that you carry. Anything that tells them more about what you can offer them.

Give them a reason to keep your card. An example would be a client of ours that puts a calendar on the back of his cards every year. It’s a quick reference to keep in your wallet.

Use the back for a “punch” card for frequent clients. Give your clients a reason to keep coming back. Every tenth cup of coffee free after nine purchases. The possibilities are endless and worth the cost of a business card.

Use the front of your card to get their attention. A bold logo or statement on the front and then use the other side for your information. Name, address, contact information and web or email address. Give them a reason to pick up your card. Trust me, they will look at the other side.

When designing your business card don’t forget to use color on both sides. Most printers do not charge but pennies to print in full color on the back side rather than black and white. Give your card punch by having full color logos, text or backgrounds on both sides of your business card.
