Tom and Janet Marcotte are native Southern Californians. Transplanted many years ago and still growing very fond of the north county. They are raising a wily and cagey little 7 year old named Gabbie that they found in the forest as their very own. She is a beautiful and funny little girl, but she eats sushi like a starving wildcat. Oz "the wonder dog" also lives with the Marcotte's, or mostly lays around the office taking up space and snoring loudly. The Marcotte's live in beautiful Paso Robles and work, play and even - occasionally - get some sleep there.
Tom Marcotte
Tom is originally from the Los Angeles and Orange County areas of Southern
California. He went to college as an undergrad at C.S.U.L.B. for illustration,
design, printmaking and art. Graduating with a B.F.A.
In those, far off and distant days, graphic design, illustration and even printing
were done completely without the aid, or even the invention of the modern computer.
"We actually used our hands and everything!" It was quickly outdated though and
Tom had to learn new tricks to stay "frosty" and employable. Learning
Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Pagemaker all at level "1" in the 90's
and staying with the programs through their growth as well as Mac's developing
OS has helped Tom gain a pretty solid skill set in all things Desktop Publishing.
He eventually moved on for his graduate work to C.S.U.F and received his Masters in illustration and design and launched a new career away from paint and pen into the world of computers, graphics and printing from the new age.
